Relax and Unwind at The Middle House

After a day spent exploring the nearby countryside and market towns, there’s nothing better than sitting down to a delicious meal. The dining space blends traditional features with a laid-back feel- low lighting, dark wood, and an understated charm that invites you to settle in. It’s well suited to both a leisurely lunch and a relaxed evening meal, without too much of a sense of formality.

Our menus reflect the character of Leyburn and the wider Yorkshire Dales, shaped by locally sourced ingredients and home-like cooking. Produce is carefully selected from trusted suppliers in the area for a distinctive taste you simply won’t find anywhere else in the country.

Kitchen Opening Times

Lunch is served from 12 noon – 2pm, Friday to Sunday (no lunch service Monday – Thursday).

Dinner is served daily from 5:30pm – 8pm.

Positioned just outside of Leyburn, a meal at The Middle House slots nicely into a day spent exploring the Yorkshire Dales. There are many places to eat in Leyburn, but The Middle House offers a sense of rural, authentic charm that’s hard to replicate. To the rear of the restaurant is a perfectly secluded suntrap garden where our guests can enjoy a few drinks.

Askrigg is a tourist attraction in it’s own right, as the filming location for the popular BBC series ‘All Creatures Great And Small’ based on the works of James Herriott.
