Tucked into the heart of Askrigg, The Middle House is one of the most dog-friendly places to stay in the Yorkshire Dales. Whether you're here for a weekend of fell walking or simply want to unwind in our cosy bar and restaurant with your dog at your feet, our historic village hotel offers the perfect countryside base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales with your four-legged companion.
We have a limited number of pet-friendly bedrooms among our 12 individually styled rooms, spread across the first and second floors (please note there is no lift). If you're booking and plan to bring your dog, simply email us in advance at info@middlehouseaskrigg.co.uk so we can check availability and allocate a suitable room. As dog-friendly rooms are limited, we recommend confirming availability before you book. A pet charge of £25 applies per stay.

Your dog is welcome to join you in the bar, front room and garden, making it easy to relax together after walking and exploring the local area. If you're staying with your dog, breakfast is served in the bar rather than the main dining room, so you can keep them close by while you tuck into a full Yorkshire breakfast, served daily between 8:30am and 9:30am (with gluten free, dairy free, vegan and vegetarian options available too).

Askrigg sits right in the centre of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with countless dog-friendly walking routes leading straight from the village into open countryside. There's a car park to the rear of the hotel (first come, first served), with additional parking available at the top of the village.
Check-in is from 4pm Monday to Thursday, and from 3pm Friday to Sunday, with checkout by 11am.
